What’s Happening – Week of June 8, 2015 – Government Edition

Here’s what’s happening this week with the local municipal governments and school board. I encourage you to attend a meeting occasionally so you can meet and get to know your elected officials and to see how they are spending your tax dollars.


There are no council meetings scheduled for this week.

The Municipal Development DIstrict board (MDD) meets on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at city hall. The agenda includes discussion of the upcoming 2015-2016 budget. You can find the meeting agenda here.
*** The MDD is funded by a 1/2 cent sales tax on all businesses in the city limits as well as the ETJ.

Planning & Zoning meets on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at city hall. The agenda includes a public hearing and a discussion and recommendation on amending the city ordinance regarding changing the requirements for certificates of occupancy. You can find the meeting agenda here.

Aubrey ISD

There are no board meetings scheduled for this week.


Krugerville City Council meets on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a workshop and at 7 p.m. for a council meeting. The workshop agenda includes engineer’s report and discussion of a council retreat. The regular meeting agenda includes swearing in new council members, approving an engineering professional services agreement, discussion and appointing an auditor for both the city of Krugerville as well as for NEPD, and to begin preliminary discussions of 2015-2016 budgets.There are no board meetings

Cross Roads

Cross Roads city council meets at Cross Roads Town Hall Monday at 5 p.m. for a special meeting executive session regarding the ongoing litigation with Little Elm.
